How to Tailor your Events for the Non-Profit Sector
Non-profit event planning has taken a hard hit during the COVID 19 pandemic. Like all live, in person events, there are many changes that need to be made for these events to continue. These events are often the life line for many companies and causes to continue to produce funds for the work they do. Twin Cities NACE is hosting a panal discussion on non-profit events and how to produce them successfully. Join us in August for a focus on non-profit events with our featured panel of speakers:
Meet Nicole McMahon (Event Center Director)
Nicole McMahon joined the Humanities Center Event Center team in 2004. She is responsible for directing the Event Center and making sure that sales goals are met, customer satisfaction is high, and communication among the team is impeccable. Nicole oversees the day-to-day operations of the Event Center and staff to ensure that events are executed successfully. She also oversees marketing for organization and also manages the marketing team. She has a B.A. from the University of St. Thomas in Communication and also completed some graduate studies in Business Communication with an emphasis in marketing. Nicole started her Event Planning career in 1999 working for the City of St. Paul, planning events at Harriet Island and the Como Conservatory, and stayed with the City until 2003.
Meet Heidi Satre
She started her career organizing corporate team-building, social and youth events at Underwater Adventures at the Mall of America. From there she transitioned to a corporate setting as part of the sales team at The Saint Paul Hotel. During her time at the hotel, Heidi coordinated group details for a variety of clients including corporate business planners, wedding couples, boards of directors and VIP guests. For the past six years, Heidi has worked at Neighbors, Inc., a social services agency in her community. Her responsibilities include marketing and communications initiatives, social media messaging and all of the organization’s awareness and fundraising events including the Great Neighbors’ Duck Races, the Food Fight and the Walk to End Hunger. During her time at Neighbors, she has grown sponsorship and event revenue to support the mission of the organization. She would also like you to know that her entire outfit today was purchased at the Neighbors, Inc. Clothes Closet Thrift Store.
