Meet Meryl: Meryl is a speaker, trainer and consultant and the author of ‘Booked It!’ , ‘Cha Ching, There’s No Money in Sales for 2nd Place’ and the founder of The Triangle Method, an online sales training platform. She's ambitious, focused and confident. This is more than a job; she’s on a mission to help businesses get on their own path to success. Meryl's a passionate believer in entrepreneurship and uses her gifts to support businesses build a stronger economy. Her philosophies have proved successful for not only her own business, but also many other companies, trade organizations, and universities have benefited from her training and advice.

Meryl’s particular areas of focus are sales and marketing, as well as design and branding in the Wedding & Special Events Industry. She provides consulting, coaching, and training services for a wide range of clients. Her innovative leadership has earned prestigious accolades for her companies locally, nationally and internationally. She has undoubtedly helped many other companies through her keen insight and an effervescent approach to teaching methods of success.

Meet Morgan: Morgan Montgomery, CPCE, A New England native, Virginia resident, and lover of all things modern, clean-lined and loud, Morgan discovered her passion for unique and vintage finds as she designed and propped shows while working towards her B.A. in Theatre from The College of the Holy Cross.  With years of sales and customer service experience behind her, she spent three years in the trenches of the off-premise catering world before co-launching Paisley & Jade, a specialty rental company serving the Mid-Atlantic, in 2012.  Morgan’s passion for business and events extends beyond the walls of P&J, and she loves to share her knowledge through the Paisley & Jade specialty rental coaching program and by speaking at national conferences such as NACE Experience, The Special Event, Lend & Gather, and The School of Styling.  An active member of NACE on the local and national level, she is a past president of her local chapter, and also currently serves as the Vice President on the National Board. Morgan’s personal and professional work has been featured extensively in national and regional publications, including Southern Weddings, Richmond Magazine, Sage Wedding Pros and The Huffington Post.

Meet Sassy Lassy Interactive Events: Whether you are hosting a celebration, a corporate retreat, an employee engagement event, or a rehearsal dinner, our events encourage connection across difference.

Since 2010, we've been creating interactive games that are fun for everyone in the room, whether they’re 22 or 62, or 92, whether they know they like attending corporate events or think they don’t. Actually, our favorite players often start the night thinking they don’t want to participate.

From weddings and rehearsal dinners, to fundraisers and corporate team building events, Sassy Lassy hosts were put on this planet to recharge funny bones and spark joy - and maybe even a few nicknames.

Is your company committed to diversity and inclusion? Sassy Lassy Events is woman-owned and women-run, and our troupe is primarily comprised of female performance artists. Or maybe you're just looking for hosts who are not the same-same as per the usual corporate event entertainment.

Game 1: “Survey Says”

Survey Says is the Sassy Lassy Interactive Events version of classic Family Feud. This instantly-recognizable format makes it easy for "families" to jump right in. We will send out a custom catering and events related survey and the "top answers on the board" will be given by the Twin Cities NACE membership!

Game 2: “The Right Price”

Come on down to Contestants' Row! 

The Right Price is the parody version of The Price Is Right. This version has high player rotation, audience participation, and will incorporate up to 15 catering and event industry items.

The audience will participate by showing its approval of (or disagreement with!) the players' guesses, so the room will be a buzz of energy.

Meet Rachel: Rachel Sheerin knows sales, and she knows catering, so it should come as no surprise her favorite thing about the catering industry are the people she has had the opportunity to meet. And that’s why she uses her professional skills to train and coach people from being fearful of sales to sales rock stars! As a professional coach, trainer, and keynote speaker she focuses on helping professionals sell more, and providing good vibes in all aspects of her work. Rachel spent several years in the off-premise catering and events industry before she found herself feeling completely burned out. After recovering, she founded her own business to help people feel confident in their sales abilities, so they can, in Rachel’s words, “be totally awesome millionaires” without sacrificing their creative skills. When asked what advice she would give to those entering the industry, Rachel suggests learning from every professional you meet, volunteer for everything, and ask to shadow anyone you admire.

Rachel’s energy is contagious, and that is probably why her favorite NACE memory was being offered a speaking opportunity at NACE Experience 2017.

She says that Experience has always been an experience full of a-ha moments for her, and the opportunity to provide that for someone else was an honor. Rachel also mentioned one of her favorite things in the events industry is the constant reminder that there is always something to celebrate.

Rachel also admits to listening to Christmas and Holiday music year round…we think the two must be related.
