What is SOMM-SULT?

SOMM-SULT is a beverage consulting firm started by Certified Sommelier, Brian Glockzin. SOMM-SULT is there to help enhance beverage programs with an empathetic, holistic approach to each client. Restaurants, hotels and clubs are often distracted by maintaining the day-to-day operations and understandably beverage programs are sometimes an afterthought. SOMM-SULT focuses on the beverage programs and applies years of knowledge and new trends into stylish beverage programs.

Who is Brian Glockzin?

Brian has worked in food and beverage for over 15 years. Starting in restaurants, Brian made a transition into working as a Food and Beverage Director at various private country clubs in Minneapolis and Chicago.

In 2013, Brian attended a class through the International Sommelier Guild and successfully passed Wine Fundamentals 1 & 2 through the Guild. This ignited a passion for wine and inspired a desire to further his education. Brian became a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommelier’s in 2015 and attended the Advanced Course in 2018. Brian plans to sit the Advance exam in 2020 and be one of the few to obtain the Advanced pin in Minnesota.
